TAPS is committed to helping reduce pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering all animals adopted from our shelter. By increasing public awareness of the benefits of altering your pets and the problem of pet overpopulation, we will be able to decrease the number of stray animals on the street and the number of homeless animals euthanized each year.
In order to help with the overpopulation problem, TAPS offers low-cost spay/neuter programs to our community through a partnership with APL in Springfield. Please contact TAPS during regular business hours for questions about our low-cost program. To sign up and schedule your pet's surgery, please visit the shelter during business hours Tuesday - Saturday (we do not do low cost spay/neuter sign-ups on Sundays.)
