TAPS serves as a location for individuals who need to complete community service hours. The mission and vision of the community service program is as follows:

VISION
Tazewell County Probation advocates justice for the victim, public safety for the community, accountability for change in the offender, and respectful treatment for all involved.

MISSION
The mission of Tazewell County Probation is the enhancement of public safety as evidenced by a reduction of recidivism from current rates. The department will endeavor to endorse and implement evidence-based practices to ensure positive supervision outcomes.
